This strain does not need any introduction really. This potent indica leaning hybrid (but with sativa effects), has been known already for some time, and not only in the US but also in Europe. It probably is one of the most world-known strains of cannabis that emerged in recent years. Its status is as respected as a classical strain like White Widow, NL, Super Skunk etc. The name of the strain already suggests what to expect from it. It will be sticky, glue, full of resin and it will hit you with the power of the strongest of the glues. Hence the name has been a victim to a lot of critique from the side of makers of an original glue brand. Therefore, the strain can also be known under the names like GG#4, or Original Glue.
Gorilla Glue #4 contains genetics from some very potent parental lineages: Chem’s Sister, Sour Dubb, and Chocolate Diesel. All of them are strong members of the famous Sour Diesel/Chemdog family of strains with that amazing, citrusy, fuely, choclatey flavour and and super uplifting, creative high, that turnes into a couch-lock if consumed in a decent amount. Especially the Sour Dubb strain is an interesting parent of the GG4. The Sour Dubb is thought to be an East Coast Sour Diesel cut by famous Rez (known for his incredible live of Sour Diesel in-bred-line). This cut always brings up that sweet/gassy/sour powers of the Diesel and it manifests itself in any cultivar that has been created with it. Chem’s Sister is a more Chemdog oriented cross that adds that chemical flavor and potency.
Except for its amazing effects, Gorilla Glue is also a quite easy plant to grow. It responds well to any training systems, as well as it can be fed a lot of nitrogen in the vegetative phase and potassium and phosphorus in the flowering phase. It prefers moderate temperatures and in those it will produce the maximum of its resin production. Most of the phenotypes seem to have either strong Sour Diesel traits (sometimes 70days of flowering phase) and others lean more into the Chemdog side of things with a smaller plant, shorter flowering period, but with that typical chemical-lemony smell and and uber-potency. It will deliver a head high euphoria, combined with a total body relaxation. If harvested any time after the 65-day period of flowering GG#4 will surely leave you glued to your chair. Harvesting this strain when the majority of trichomes are milky and some are transparent will give you more uplifting type of effects that won’t put you to sleep.
